This recipe features in the Nottingham Second Helpings Cook Book. This drink is definitely autumnal. Mixed with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon or nutmeg, this latte is perfect to snuggle down with on a chilly night.  It can also be turned into a warming cocktail by adding rum and ice- give it a try!

Bluebird Tea Company- Gingerbread Chai Latte

1 tsp / 2 bags Bluebird Tea Co. Gingerbread Chai Tea
1 tsp honey
Cinnamon/ nutmeg
Dark Rum + Ice (to turn into a cocktail…you know you want to!)

Brew two teaspoons of tea (or two tea bags) in 100ml of hot water for at least four minutes. Add 1 teaspoon of honey and then 200ml of hot frothed milk – use a handheld frother or an aerator machine. Pour into your favourite mug and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg.

If you would like to turn this drink into a cocktail, add 50ml of spiced rum and shake over ice.
